On a motorcycle ride near Bakersfield California I pulled over and took a few photos, this one looked promising and with a little added contrast, I had something I called “Dark landscape”. With film, I remember experimenting with litho, where you drop out everything except pure black and pure white, no shades of gray. This isn’t quit to that extreme but it’s close. Most of the time I am a cheerful guy, but like everyone, I am sometimes in a dower mood. This landscape is one of those times. Hard edged. Gritty..
